*Vanisnesi
Extensive Roman ruins identified by Gsell (AAA, whence BAtlas) at a site he called Oum Sekak in the Hassenaoua district of modern Algeria. He estimates the site extent at 13 hectares and reports the remains of a church. An inscription that seems to provide the name of the "genius loci" (Genius Vanisnesi) was found in the vicinity. The site is not clearly visible in twenty-first century aerial/satellite imagery and most of the modern toponymy Gsell provides does not appear in the open-source, digital gazetteers and map tools. The site may now lie under modern development in the area.
