Souk el Arba

A Roman camp with baths and associated settlement were identified at modern Souk El Arbaa in Morocco in the late 19th and 20th centuries on high ground occupied by a qubba called "Sidi Aïssa". Although ancient structures and settlement extent identified previously are not visible in modern satellite imagery, the site -- bisected by a rail line predating 1941 and occupied by a cemetery and more recent structures -- can still be correlated closely with previously published photographs and plans.
