Historical place

Zucchabar

Zucchabar was an ancient city of Mauretania Caesariensis with Punic origins. The modern Algerian community of Miliana lies atop and around the largely unexcavated ancient site. Epigraphic evidence indicates that the Roman emperor Augustus established a veteran colony there.
