AP / Demography Layer

Step 5 / demographic backbone

Population collapse, deportation corridors, and desert killing nodes.

This seed layer turns chronology evidence into structured demographic records: population baselines where the source gives them, casualty estimates, deportation route cores, camp/corridor nodes, source links, and review status.

Method

This is a controlled seed, not a final population reconstruction.

The layer uses source-linked records from the AGMI chronology and stores only structured metadata, compact source paraphrases, and confidence notes. The next pass should add Patriarchate, Ottoman census, Kevorkian/Gomidas, missionary, and survivor-census baselines by district and village.

Exact-use rule

Numbers are mapped only where the source gives an explicit figure.

Route rule

Lines are route cores from origin to destination, not reconstructed convoy paths.

Confidence rule

Every record declares whether it needs district, village, camp, or route review.

Atlas use

Join this layer to places, Houshamadyan settlements, RAA sites, and evidence records.
