Structure the evidence

Places, periods, geometries, sources, confidence, and relationships are normalized before visual design begins.

Design cartographic hierarchy

Yes. Existing GIS, KML, GeoJSON, spreadsheets, databases, and archival lists can be audited and reorganized into a coherent atlas without discarding reliable work.

Can the atlas support continuous updates?+

Yes. Where sources permit responsible automation, a controlled updater can normalize new records while preserving provenance and review status.

Will the atlas work on mobile devices?+

Responsive behavior, touch interaction, panel order, typography, and map viewport logic are treated as part of the atlas architecture rather than an afterthought.
